If you want to enjoy peace and cilense together with the sound of waves and singing birds, then our holiday house is a very good choice. Our rental house is in a small village called Selatrað on Eysturoy, almost in the middle of the Faroe Islands.

Selatrað er en lille bygd med kun 42 indbyggere.
Bygden ligger på en blind vej, så der er ikke nogen gennemkøring.
Normalt er det et meget fredeligt sted at opholde sig, hvor man kan slappe helt af og nyde den pragtfulde natur og lyden fra bølgerne og fuglene synge.
Nede på kajen (50 m fra huset) kan man fange fisk, mens man nyder naturen og freden.
Vores sommerhus ligger midt på Færøerne, så der er lige lang køreafstand hvorhen du køre.
Køretur til Selatrað
Her ses koordinaterne for Selatrað: 62,159698, -6,884299. Fra Tórshavn kan man køre udenom den undersøiske tunnel, og da tager den flotte køreturen ca. 5 kvarter i bil. Den anden vej er gennem den undersøiske tunnel og da er køreturen ca. 25 minutter i bil.
Fra flyvepladsen tager turen ca. 5 kvarter i bil.
Samkeyp / supermarked på Strendur. Man kan også køre til Glyvrar, Runavík eller Tórshavn, hvor der er flere lavpris forretninger.

Selatrað

Selatrað is a small village with only 42 inhabitants.
The village is on a end road, so there is no through traffic.
Usually, it is a very peaceful place to stay where you can completely relax and enjoy the magnificent scenery and the sound of the waves and the birds singing.
Down at the quay (50 m from the house) you can catch fish while enjoying nature and peace.
Our house is located in the middle of Faroe islands, so you have equal driving distance to everywhere
Driving to Selatrað
Here's the coordinates for Selatrað: 62,159698, -6,884299. From Tórshavn you can drive on the mountain away from the underwater tunnel, and then the beautiful drive takes about 75 minuttes by car. The other road is through the undersea tunnel and then the drive is about 25 minutes by car.
From the airport it is abour 75 minuttes drive by car
Samkeyp / supermarket on Strendur. You can also drive to Glyvrar, Runavík or Tórshavn, where there are several low-cost shops.

The surroundings are hiking and all other outdoor activities, as the village is by the sea, with a nice beach. And a river is running through the village, just by a very small forest. Beautiful place, like time has stood still! It's in the town of Selatrað on the island of Eysturoy.
